i suck

I have been sooooo extremely busy with work, friends and life that I seriously have had zero time to blog.

It's 11:58, barely Wednesday still and I JUST realized that I missed What I'm Loving Wednesday, the weekly camp song that I normally send out on Sunday evenings and everything else in between. UGH...I SUCK!!!

Maybe tomorrow I will bring you an actual post worthy of reading, maybe tomorrow friends, maybe tomorrow...

WILW & Oh, How Pinteresting...

It's Wednesday...and raining, so to keep positive I am linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday!!
I'm loving my wonderful friends Sheila and Alicia. Sheila came to pick me up this morning and took me to work and Alicia is letting me borrow her car for the weekend while she is gone. I seriously have some of the greatest people in my life!

I'm loving work. As much as I complain about how tired I am, when I get there it all goes away. I absolutely LOVE what I do and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's so important to love what you do.

I'm loving that I am blogging from my desk on my lunch hour.

I am loving that I get to be in and witness a marriage of a good friend this weekend. Weddings are always so exciting!!

I'm loving the cinnamon candle a co-worker gave to me...for FREE!! I can't wait to burn it when I get home tonight.

And I'm loving my handsome boyfriend Mark. Even though he has been gone the past few days, he still can capture my heart from afar. I fall in love with him more and more each day!

I'm also linking up with The Vintage Apple for Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesdays!
This charm is soooooo adorable. I would love to have Mark's fingerprint on it!
I needed to see this. I have been wanting to get crafty for awhile and I have just been fearful that I would mess it up or I would ruin all of the materials and waste money. I know now that I can't think like this because it doesn't make me want to go out of my comfort zone and try something crafty and new.
Couldn't have said it better. I would love to have this hanging in my home. Plus, it's the green that I want in my kitchen.
How fabulous is this sparkly dress. I am in love with it!!!

I hope everyone has a happy Wednesday rain or shine!

J

weekend recap

I know it's late, but I'm gonna recap my weekend anyway. I did a little bit of this...
And a lot more of this
(I wasn't actually at the beach, just thinking about the beach while relaxing on my couch)
And I made all of this
And helped my sister do this
So she could do this
What did you do this weekend??

ch-ch-changes

I've obviously been playing around with the design of my blog and I am soooo sorry if it's annoying. I just like change...I get bored with seeing the same thing. It's kind of like how I drive to work - I travel a different way every week. There are a million different ways to get to work from my house and I always try to find the shortest route (for those oh-my-goodness-the-alarm-didn't-go-off-days) but a change of scenery is always refreshing.

I am definitely open to suggestions for what you like, what you don't like, etc. I've just recently became really active in the blog-o-sphere and I am still learning...a lot!!
Not only is my blog and my drive to work in the constant process of change, but I'm working on changing some things in my life...be on the lookout for a whole post dedicated to that. I'll give you a hint

what i'm loving wednesday & oh, how pinteresting wednesday

It's that time again for What I'm Loving Wednesday! I have linked up with Jamie to share the things I am loving!!
I'm loving my new Thirty-One products I ordered on Sunday:
This is the Thermal Tote (in Herringbone Spot). It's pretty roomy and if I am going to be gone breakfast, lunch and dinner, I'm gonna need a spacious lunch bag. My name is obviously not Heather but this is the pattern I got and I didn't get it personalized.
This is the fun little Organizing Utility Tote (in Pin Dots) that I got for only $7 bucks!
And this my friends, is my new Soft Wallet (in Grey Quilted Poppy). I think gray is such a great color this season and I can put it with ANY color bag...black, navy, yellow, pink, purple...PERFECT!

I'm loving that this is a short week for me. Thank you Christopher Columbus!

I'm loving my sister who has been taking me to work and picking me up from work while I still sort out this car/transportation mess. I know that she really doesn't want to because she has way better things to do and I know that it's hard on her vehicle (which, by the way, needs some maintenance too).

I'm loving the new product from Living Simply Soap, Salt Scrub. I was one of the first people that was able to test this out before Tanya, the owner, perfected this unique scrub. The salt scrub is made from a formula that blends the conditioning value of sweet almond oil and grape seed oils with the cleansing quality of coconut oil leaving your skin super soft (and it definitely makes it super soft). It comes in Peppermint (how refreshing!), Pink Vanilla Sugar (vanilla with a kick!) Strawberry Icing (makes your mouth water - I'm craving some already), Lavender & Sage (so soothing!) and Apple Jack (perfect for the fall season!). Grab your large 20 oz. jar for only $14.95! What a great value for homemade salt scrub in this size.

Disclaimer: I am not an employee of Living Simply Soap or was given any kind of monetary gift or product for this marketing advertisement. I just love the product, support small businesses and I LOVE this family!. Tanya Brown, doesn't even know this blog exists therefore she doesn't even read it. Happy Shopping!
I am also loving that sweet, sweet boyfriend of mine. He is so patient and so kind. How could you not love a face like this??
I'm also linking up with The Vintage Apple for
It's rather difficult for me to get off Pinterest on some days but here are only a few of my favorites this week
Doesn't this look like a nice yummy fall treat??
I love using God's gifts as beautiful decorations.
I know this dress is soooo not fall like but I think it's soooo cute!
I cannot even wait to go to the lake!! Fall time at the lake house is amazing!!
I totally need this plus it's cute. What more could you want?
I love everything about this outfit. So fall appropriate. Do you see a reoccurring theme here?
I am absolutely in love with these rings. How perfect!!!

ten on tuesday

I've joined Chelsea for another week of Ten on Tuesday. This week, it's all about pasta and boy do I love me some pasta...gluten free that is!! Make sure you link up at Roots & Rings! Happy Tuesday!
1. Red Sauce or White Sauce?
It depends. I like Chicken Alfredo (white sauce) and I most definitely like the plain ole red sauce spaghetti with no meat! I really like noodles with some butter and garlic salt. YUM!
2. Do you prefer pasta you can twirl or stab?
It's more like a scoop (even with a fork). It doesn't really matter how I eat it, as long as it's good!!
3. Baked or boiled?
Boiled. I don't think I have ever baked pasta. I take that back....I have, I remember the yummy cheese!
4. Do you like meat in your sauce or do you kick it vegetarian style?
I go both ways. It depends on my mood. Lately, I've only been wanting to eat veggies.
5. Where have you had your very best pasta ever?
Oh my. I'm not really sure.
6. What is your favorite pasta dish?
I looooooooooove homemade mac n cheese (who doesn't). I really love any pasta dish.
7. Do you serve meatballs when you make spaghetti or just do a meat sauce?
I think I have only made and served meatballs once or twice. Usually it's just a meat sauce.
8. Why type (rice, whole wheat, egg, etc) of noodles do you use?
Rice noodles. And I have used corn noodles. Gluten free pasta really isn't that bad.
9. What type of meats or vegetables do you put in your sauce?
Onions, green peppers, tomatoes, sometimes carrots, garlic, sausage, beef, red peppers, mushrooms...
10. Do you make a “Sunday gravy” to use throughout the week or do you just open a jar of whatever and heat it up? (No judgment on this one!)
I normally open a jar (and thanks for not judging), but I have attempted to make my own sauce...once.

Thirty-One Party Menu

In this post, I mentioned that I was so excited to be helping my friend Ashlee make some goodies for her FIRST Thirty-One party on Sunday; and last night I finally settled on what I am making. Here is the menu:

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Bars. FOUR ingredients. Enough said.
Caramel Apple Cupcakes. They look soooooooo good!!! I would attempt to make them GF but I think I might save that for another day and see how this recipe turns out first.
Pumpkin Fluff. YUM!!! I'm going to serve this with cinnamon graham crackers. And of course I will be serving it in a pumpkin!

I'm really excited for Ashlee as she goes through this adventure and I'm really excited for all the goodies that she is bringing too!! It's going to be nice to get out and socialize with a bunch of girlfriends. I looooooove fall parties!!

J

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's Wednesday so you know what that means...I have once again linked up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!
I'm loving that I just found out that I don't have to work Monday because it's a paid holiday. It's Columbus Day people. But hey, I'm not complaining.

I'm loving that I got to dance in the middle of the street with my niece last night.

I'm loving that I get to help my friend, Ashlee, prepare and cook some appetizers and desserts for her Thirty-One party on Sunday.

I'm loving that all of the seasons of Wonder Years are now on Netflix...guess what I'm doing this weekend??
I'm loving some of my Pinterest finds this week:
Warm cinnamon apples are a fall favorite!
I could totally relax every night and forget about everything in the world in this bathtub!
I love the bangs that Hilary Duff is rockin'. I'm thinking about getting my own too.
Honey-Sauced Chicken. Sounds soooo wonderful! I have all the ingredients except the onion and garlic. I even have GF soy sauce to make it gluten free friendly. I can't wait to make this!
Corn chowder sounds so delish and hearty in this lovely fall weather we are having.
How sparkly and cute are these nails? I can't wait to try this on my own nails. And gray goes so well with everything!

And as always, I am loving my handsome boyfriend, Mark! He is working in Cleveland for the next 3 days so I am gonna miss his sweet face!!

What are you loving today?
